Fountain of Hope is fortunate enough to have a library that is available to all children in the community and open five days a week. There is a wide collection of books ranging from basic English to read alongs to traditional books in Nyanja. All the books are generous donations from a collection of patrons, sponsors and organizations.

After football and teaching, I spent every afternoon sat in the library reading books with children of all ages and English levels. It was always a pleasant surprise when someone would bring over a book that I had read when I was a child, like Goodnight Moon or Goldie Locks and the Three Bears.

I frequently read with some of my second graders. Rosemary and Dennis spent almost every afternoon with me.
