Agriculture is the most prominent profession and main source of income around Kazemba. In addition to all the maths, English, social studies, applied technologies and science that the students learn, the older grades learn about agriculture.

The grade eights have to cultivate and maintain a plot of rape as part of their coursework. In the afternoons, the kids can be seen hauling water, testing the pH of the soil and making natural fertilizers and pesticides.

The ninth grade focuses more on pastures and cultivating land for livestock. The majority of their syllabus was theory based in comparison to their younger counterparts, so most of their lessons were in the classroom.
