British night

The first big night of our trip, we had the peer leaders over to the house for Zambia night. They all arrived bearing traditional Zambian food like nshima, sampa, caterpillars, okra, rape, goat stew and chicken feet. Now, it's our turn to give them a taste of the UK. We spent all day preparing bangers and mash, veggies and roast, beans on toast, vegetable soup, gravy and scones. Lilly and I threw a little something in from our southern roots: corn bread.

After the meal, we taught the peer leaders a few popular British dances like the macarena and the cha cha slide. Later on in the evening, we had a ceilidh, which was led by the Scots. I danced with my peer leaders from Fountain Mirriam, Steven and Isaac.
